The U.S. Open Taekwondo Championships is one of the premier International Open events in the world. The 2015 U.S. Open will have Sparring and Poomsae divisions for male and female black belts ages 10-11 (Youth), 12-14 (Cadets), 15-17 (Juniors), 17-32 (Seniors) & 33+ (Ultras). Each individual contestant is responsible for obtaining the proper credentials required for entry into the United States of America. Visa documents can be obtained by contacting the U.S. Embassy prior to planning your flight. It cannot be emphasized enough that the invitation and application process should start as early as possible.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Given that the U.S. Open is sanctioned by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF),ALL(U.S. and International) Youth, Cadet, Junior, Senior and Ultra participants and Officials (Coaches, Head of Team, Manager or Medical) are required to obtain a WTF Global Athlete License (GAL) or WTF Global Official License (GOL) through their home country WTF Member National Association (MNA) per the WTF Competition Rules. Participants must apply for the WTF GL one month prior to the start of this event. Please work with your MNA to ensure you obtain your WTF GAL before traveling to the US Open. However, individuals must be an approved member of their WTF MNA and be able to prove this onsite in the form of their National Membership card or confirmation letter from their WTF MNA. All registered applications for the US Open will be cross checked with each WTF MNA in advance of the tournament to ensure they are a member of the WTF MNA.

USA Taekwondo and Daedo-Truescore will provide the hogus to all athletes of the 2015 US Open Taekwondo Championships prior to each sparring match. These hogus should be returned immediately to the equipment area after the completion of their match. All athletes are responsible for purchasing their own scoring foot gear prior to the event .All ages, All divisions will use the Daedo-Truescore EBPs.
